Privacy Policy
Fewer ("the app", "we", "us") finds duplicate, near-identical and blurry photos and videos in your photo library and helps you decide what to delete. Everything it does with your photos happens on your iPhone. This policy explains exactly what the app does and does not do.
Summary
- No account or sign-in. The app never asks who you are.
- Your photos and videos are compared on your device. No photo, thumbnail, filename or identifier is ever uploaded.
- The only data that leaves the device is what Apple and RevenueCat need to process the one-time purchase (see below).
- No ads, no analytics, no trackers, no selling of data.
Photo library access
Fewer asks for full access to your photo library because finding duplicates means comparing every photo against the others; a hand-picked selection has nothing to compare. The app reads photo metadata (dates, dimensions, file sizes) and small thumbnails, computes short numeric fingerprints from them, and keeps those fingerprints in a cache on the device so a second scan is faster. The cache contains no images and cannot be turned back into one. Uninstalling the app deletes it.
Deleting photos
Nothing is deleted without your explicit confirmation on the app's review screen, and iOS then asks you to confirm again. Deleted items go to the Photos app's Recently Deleted album, where they stay for 30 days and can be recovered. The app never empties Recently Deleted; you do that yourself in the Photos app, and the app tells you so instead of claiming that space has been freed.
Purchases (Fewer Pro)
Fewer Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. The transaction is processed by Apple In-App Purchase, and entitlement management (delivering and restoring the unlock) is handled by RevenueCat. We never see or store your payment details. To deliver and restore your purchase, RevenueCat processes purchase data such as the purchase token and transaction history, an app-generated anonymous identifier, and technical data such as IP address, device model and OS version (used for fraud prevention and to keep the purchase in sync across your devices). This is the only network request the app makes.

Information we do not collect
We do not collect your name, email, contacts, location, the contents of your photos, or which photos you keep or delete. There is no analytics or crash-reporting SDK in the app.
Data retention and deletion
Because everything lives on your device, uninstalling the app removes the fingerprint cache, your review decisions and the deletion history. Purchase records held by Apple and RevenueCat are retained per their policies. To request deletion of purchase data associated with your device, contact us at the email below.
Children
Fewer is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new date.
